Land Rover 'Firefly'

"Nothing cries out for compassion, concern, and danger as a fire engine screams by carrying firefighters ready to do battle without flinching from any demand" -Byron Pulsifer

We purchased this 1962 Series 2 'Firefly' for our Personal Collection in 2019 from Wayne Ellard in South Australia. Wayne had lovingly cared for the old Firefly for many many years, he found it in rural NSW not far from its original work place in Cooma.

The Firefly was part of the Snowy Hydro Scheme, where it had been purchased New.

The Fire Fly is very original and has only 16,500 miles on the clock. We are hoping to find as much history as we can on this iconic vehicle, and slowly piece back the cars original equipment from the lockers. I'll put some photos at the bottom of the blog of some of the pieces we are after.

We Are hoping to take the Firefly down to Cooma to its original station this year for a reunion.

Please enjoy the Photo gallery below.
